“Naadmaadwiiuk gave me the opportunity to complete my Bachelors Degree in Indigenous Studies at Trent University. They’ve given me support that I needed to succeed in my post-secondary education. Not long after the training provided by Naadmaadwiiuk, I now work as an Aboriginal Support Worker at Churchill Public School in the City of Sudbury. I help young First Nations, Inuit and Metis students succeed in their studies and also to provide them with leadership through role modelling so they can dream for a successful future. I give Naadmaadwiiuk my thanks for the support they’ve provided me in helping me follow my dreams!”
Jamie Sawdon, ISET Client
“Aanii. My name is Jamie-Lynn Sawdon. On May 28th 2015, I graduated as a Scholar Student from the Personal Support Worker Program at Cambrian College in Sudbury Ontario. I was fortunate enough to receive a job offer in my home community of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek as a PSW for Home and Community Care. I would like to thank Naadmaadwiiuk Employment and Training for their Financial assistance throughout the 2014-2015 school year. With their help, I was able to complete my program with ease by not having to worry about financial program requirements like my uniforms, shoes, books and travel. Now that I have graduated and am working I am hoping to continue gaining work experience and hope to further my education to become a Practical Nurse in 2016. Miigwetch!”
